Meteorite Research, Hunting, and Identification

Learning about, hunting for, discovering, recovering, and identifying meteorites, …space rocks! When I started thinking about all the different gold, adventure, treasure, outdoors, and travel pursuits that would not only be exciting to do but fun and interesting to share, meteorite hunting and recovery was right there at the top of the list.  The hunt for and finding of rocks from SPACE has always been fascinating to me!  In addition to this intrinsic fascination, my dad and began tracking down a famous meteor in the American desert Southwest about fifteen years ago which really peaked my interest and his!  Thus far though, I have had no trips solely to hunt and find meteorites but I do have some destinations mapped and in mind which are great prospects to kick off this series of adventures.  Several of these places are in the Southwest United States and along with these travels there are many sights, sounds, and things to enjoy along the way including off road travel, camping, fishing, hunting, and sight seeing.  Many of these adventures will be included in our short and longer form videos about the various trips, our discoveries, and finds.  There is a lot to learn for us and share with you and others about these amazing space rocks here on www.gtaovlogs.com in the Meteorite Hunting category.  Aside form known meteorite strewn fields, the knowledge of what to look for and how allows the treasure hunter to hunt for and identify new and different meteorites.  This post here is the beginning of a series we at GTAO Vlogs are beginning in 2019 and plan to continue for a long time to come and in many locations and countries arounfd the world.  Thanks for finding us here, reading along, and please add your questions and feedback of all sorts in the comment section of the posts.  Thanks very kindly and happy hunting!  Aaron – GTAO Vlogs
